Primadonna

I called Peter Croke of Merle Wood & Associates to congratulate him on the sale of Christensen’s 48.75m brand new Primadonna and he confirms that it was an in-house deal with he and Merle Wood as central agents for her sale. Considering that this column mentioned her being up for sale in early March, that’s an amazingly fast transaction. Launched as recently as January 2009, Primadonna has a flexible layout providing six luxurious staterooms, including an on-deck master suite and a full beam VIP cabin. Zero speed stabilisers, an 18 knot top speed and a 4000+ mile range must have made her an irresistible attraction to her happy new owner. Her asking price was $38.5 million.
