The 27.43 metre Palmer Johnson motor yacht Nirvana, listed for sale by 26 North Yachts, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Andrea Gaines of Essex Boatworks.
Built in aluminium by US yard Palmer Johnson to a design by C Raymond Hunt, Nirvana was delivered in 1999 and has since been extensively refitted, most recently in 2014. An interior featuring Cuban mahogany panelling accommodates six guests in three cabins comprising a master suite and two doubles. All guest cabins have entertainment centres, television screens and en suite bathroom facilities while the crew quarters sleep up to three staff aboard this yacht for sale.
In the main deck saloon, there is a massive U-shaped settee along the starboard side, upholstered with a very light beige/off-white slightly textured fabric. Twin black granite-topped coffee tables are adjacent. On the port side is a black granite credenza that provides liquor storage and conceals the pop-up 32-inch television screen.
The aft section of the saloon is full-beam with wing doors to the side decks. On the port side is the formal dining area and to starboard another lounge area. Forward to port is the galley, separated from the main lounge area by a black granite-topped bar.
Nirvana's most notable characteristic is that she is completely wheelchair accessible - as seen most obviously in the various wheelchair lifts, both interior and exterior, found on board.
Outdoors, the spacious flybridge, which is accessed via stairs from the pilothouse or the lift on the aft deck, has more than enough room for a large group. It is well configured for entertaining and lounging, as evidenced by the cushioned seating area for six found under the hard top. Her top speed is 25 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 700 nautical miles at 22 knots with power coming from two 1,350hp MTU 12V2000M90 diesel electric engines.
Nirvana was asking $1,199,000.
