Formerly named Taijin, she was built by Trident Marine to a design by Sergio Cutolo, and she was launched in 2000. Superyacht Surina had a major interior refit in 2012 under the direction of designer Claudette Bonville. All built-in seating areas were re-upholstered and the loose furniture was replaced while outside a hot tub was installed at the base of the mast. Nearly all materials were changed or replaced and the wall panels are now in contemporary linen or marine friendly leather.
