40m tri-deck Princess motor yacht with Bannenberg & Rowell interiors sold

24 June 2025 • Written by Emily Dawkins

The 40.2-metre tri-deck Princess motor yacht Seed has been sold. Mark Woodmansey of Burgess represented the seller in the deal and Yannick Altevolmer of Drettmann Yachts introduced the buyer.

According to her listing broker, Seed is one of the few 40-metre tri-deck yachts ever delivered by British shipyard Princess, hitting the water in 2019 as the last unit from the yard's flagship 40M model. She was designed by Bernard Olesinski, with a contemporary, pastel-coloured interior by Bannenberg & Rowell. Although built to MCA compliance, Seed has only ever been used privately by her original owner, presented to the market in "immaculate condition with low engine hours".

Seed was last asking €17,000,000

Seed can accommodate up to eight guests in a four-cabin layout, comprising a full-beam master suite, a VIP double and two twin cabins, all with en suite, in addition to seven crew. Her master suite is notably spacious, fitted with a curved central structure that separates the bed from the dressing area and vanity, as well as a large his-and-hers en suite and a separate lobby area with sofa. The broker noted that the would-be fifth cabin was instead converted into a dedicated cinema room, perfect for relaxing during late evening hours.

A somewhat neutral colour palette with accents in shades of blue defines Seed's interior, with each area fitted with curvaceous furniture and fittings and filled with natural light thanks to multiple large windows. Her main saloon – host to a formal lounge and dining area – also benefits from two fold-out balconies, while a large sliding door to aft unveils one of many onboard al fresco dining spaces.

The upper deck offers a more relaxed lounge with a large sofa and loose armchairs and also leads out to another al fresco dining table which benefits from shelter from the sundeck overhang.

Other exterior spaces onboard Seed include the sundeck, equipped with a Jacuzzi, bar and large modular armchairs, and the foredeck, host to fitted seating and large sunpads. She also features an aft-opening tender garage and a nifty swim platform.

The 395GT motor yacht is powered by twin 3560hp MTU engines, which offer a top speed of 23 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots, while her range is 2,300 nautical miles at a 10-knot speed. She also benefits from zero-speed stabilisers, with specs including a beam of 8 metres and a 2.3-metre draft.

Seed was last asking €17,000,000.
