Brokerage report: Demand slows in June despite peak yacht sales season

1 July 2025 • by Emily Dawkins

Exclusive BOATPro data revealed slowing demand in the yacht brokerage market during June, a month that usually benefits from a wave of last-minute buyer activity ahead of the summer cruising season.

The number of yachts sold fell by a moderate 19 per cent from the previous month, reaching 47 total sales in June. In terms of value, however, BOATPro showed a more considerable drop in sales from a collective figure of €927.4 million in May to €429.4 million in June.

The outsized decline can mostly be attributed to the sale of two Feadships in May, the 75.8-metre Les Cinq and award-winning 83.5-metre hybrid motor yacht Savannah, which brought a combined €312.5 million to last month's total sales value.

Comparatively, the most expensive yacht sold in June was the 63.8-metre Royal Denship expedition yacht, Cupani, exchanged in a deal between FGI Yacht Group and Edmiston with an asking price of $29.95 million. That said, demand was still slightly down from this time last year, which saw €504.4 million in yacht sales during June 2024.

Aside from Cupani, the remainder of the yachts sold in June represented more bite-sized transactions, such as the 40.2-metre tri-deck Princess motor yacht Seed (asking €17 million), the 41.8-metre Custom Line motor yacht Asante (asking €16.9 million) and Benetti's 35.2-metre motor yacht Abbentures III (asking $10.9 million).

There were five new build sales included in the mix, such as the latest unit from the 47-metre Sanlorenzo 500EXP series and the 37.4-metre Moonen 122 Martinique YN205. Of these, three yachts had their asking prices withheld and are not included in the total value of sales for the month.

Despite lower demand, the brokerage market continued to see plenty of supply from owners looking to secure a quick sale during peak season. According to BOATPro, there were 72 newly listed yachts in June with a collective value of €1.03 billion, up from 55 new listings in May with a value of €631.3 million.

The most expensive addition to the brokerage market in June was the 114.2-metre Lloyd Werft superyacht Luna, currently asking €270 million with Eastwind Yachts .

Other high-value additions included Feadship's 64-metre motor yacht Lady Marina, listed for sale with Moravia Yachting and Merle Wood & Associates for €39.95 million and the 59-metre Vitters sailing yacht Maximus, asking €79.5 million with Edmiston. Notably, both superyachts joined the market for the first time since their delivery, the former having originally been delivered in 1999.

It appears the lack of demand from buyers has continued to drive an increase in price drops, with 91 price reductions removing a collective €65.2 million from the brokerage market in June. The largest of which was €5 million, deducted from the first in-build hull of the ISA Yachts' Sportiva 66 series – now asking €61 million with Ikonic Yachts.
