The notice of race is now available and registration is open for the 2014 Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta, taking place in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, 3-7 June.
A staple on the Mediterranean racing circuit, the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta kicks off the season with an impressive fleet of the world's finest sailing superyachts competing in the stunning waters off the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS) in Porto Cervo. Hosted by Boat International Media and YCCS, the regatta includes a full multi-day race programme organised by YCCSS as well as off-the-water social events. The post-race social programme includes a welcome party, Owners Dinner at the YCCS clubhouse, and beach party.
The Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta welcomes sailing yachts and motor yacht spectators of more than 80 feet length overall. A notable list of sailing superyachts have already pre-registered for the 2014 Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta, with entries including new build Vitters' yachts 33m Inoui and 46m Ganesha, Holland Jachtbouw's 62m Athos, 57.49m Twizzle from Royal Huisman and a selection of yachts from regatta silver sponsor Southern Wind Shipyard.
Last year, superyacht Salpterton was the winner of the overall Loro Piana Prize, the Silver Jubilee Cup awarded by Boat International Media.
