Classic motor yacht RS Eden has been sold by Ocean Independence with Edmiston & Company.
The 47.96m classic clipper bow superyacht was originally built in 1930 by Defoe Boat & Motor Works to a design by John H Wells. In her history, RS Eden has had a series of owners and name changes and at one time was even requisitioned by the US Navy during World War II.
RS Eden was bought by her previous owner in 2005 in a state of some disrepair. She spent the following two years being completely rebuilt at Neta Marine in Bodrum, Turkey, where she was given an owner's office and extended aft deck and restored to her original classic 1930s style.
RS Eden was sold with an asking price of €6.95 million.
