by Malcolm Maclean
The 24.89 metre sailing yacht Ptarmigan, listed for sale at Lilley Marine, has been sold in an in-house deal.
Built in GRP by Finnish yard Nautor’s Swan to a design by German Frers, Ptarmigan was delivered in 2012 as a Swan 82 model. She accommodates seven guests in three cabins configured as a master suite with a queen-sized bed and two twin cabins, one with a Pullman berth and all cabins have television screens and en suite shower facilities.
The living area is spacious and elegant, and the saloon is the hub of the yacht, featuring all mod-cons and a wide spectrum of entertainment equipment. On the starboard side of the main saloon there is a settee with a coffee table and an entertainment centre including an Apple television screen, video and Bose stereo equipment. To port, there is an L-shaped sofa with a large table and three chairs.
On deck, there are U-shaped settees on both sides of the centre cockpit with tables on each side, creating the perfect spot for al fresco dining or simply enjoying the sailing experience.
German Frers designed Ptarmigan as a performance cruiser bringing stylish lines and a luxurious interior, with high spec features such as a carbon fibre deck, mast and a Park Avenue style boom.
Ptarmigan was asking €3,100,000.
