Trinity superyacht Sapphire sold

12 March 2014 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

Good news of another sale as I learn that the 50m tri-deck motor yacht Sapphire, a joint listing with Burgess and BehneMar, is sold.

Sapphire was built by Trinity Yachts in aluminium to ABS class and MCA compliant and, launched in 2009, she was formerly named Red Sapphire. An interior design by James McFarlane sleeps as many guests as 22 in eight staterooms: a master suite, two doubles, two triples and a bunk bed cabin plus 11 crew in six cabins.

She also features Quantum zero speed stabilisers, and a pair of 3,650hp MTU engines give her a top speed of 24 knots and a range of 3,200 nautical miles at her cruising speed of 16.5 knots. Based in Phuket, Thailand, she will remain under charter with Burgess.

Sapphire was asking $22,880,000.
