Yacht Xchange sells Abeking & Rasmussen superyacht Sea Jewel
by Malcolm MacLean
Word just in from David Frazer at Yacht Xchange that he and managing partner Bassam Chahine closed on the sale of the 52m motor yacht Sea Jewel this morning in an in-house deal.
Built in 1997 by Abeking & Rasmussen, Sea Jewel was designed by the yacht designer Espen Øino and was the largest launch from the yard at the time. A capacious interior by Luigi Sturchio accommodates 14 guests in seven well appointed en suite staterooms along with up to 16 crew in seven cabins.
Sea Jewel was refitted in 2002 and has been regularly updated since, including the installation of Koop Nautic at anchor stabilisers in 2008. Twin 1,900hp Caterpillar engines give her a cruising speed of 15 knots, a maximum speed of 16 knots and a range of 3,500 nautical miles. Her engines have been constantly maintained by Caterpillar.
Sea Jewel was asking €13.5 million. For more information contact:
