Brokerage market round-up: December 18-22, 2017

SALES

The impending holiday period saw a rush of sales during the past seven days, with 14 deals announced including four over 50 metres in length. The total asking price was in excess of £106million ($141 million) and the most active brokerage houses were Fraser and Camper & Nicholsons International, who were both involved in three completed deals this week.

PRICE REDUCTIONS

Three price drops were announced on yachts for sale this week, for a total reduction of £1.3 million ($1.7 million), and only one of these reductions were higher than £500,000 ($673,000).

Silver Wave was the subject of a major price drop announced this week

NEW LISTINGS

Nine new yachts were listed for sale this week with a combined asking price in excess of £35 million ($46 million). Yacht & Villa International was the most active with three new listings, while the 42.09 metre Akhir motor yacht Element, listed for sale with Merle Wood & Associates, was the largest yacht to come onto the market.
