IMAGINE was built in 2010 by Alloy Yachts in collaboration with the legendary designer Ed Dubois, a partnership that produced some of the most admired sailing yachts of their era. Commissioned by a highly experienced owner as his second Dubois design, IMAGINE remains under original ownership today. Built to feel equally at home in the sunny waters of the Mediterranean or in the world’s most remote and challenging destinations, she is truly one of a kind. She has never been chartered, is fully LY2 compliant, and has been meticulously maintained since launch. In 2011, she was awarded Best Sailing Yacht at the World Superyacht Awards, a recognition of her exceptional design, performance, and build quality. More recently, in 2025, she completed her Lloyd’s 15-year survey alongside an extensive refit and is offered in outstanding condition with VAT paid.
From the outset, IMAGINE was designed for worldwide cruising with performance at her core. She’s quick through the water, capable in a wide range of conditions, and equipped with extra features for autonomous cruising in more challenging environments. Whether island-hopping in light winds or crossing open oceans in heavier weather, she’s built to be fast and nimble without sacrificing comfort. Her deck plan is both practical and guest friendly. A cockpit forward of the twin helm stations provides an inviting setting for open-air dining, with sunpads aft of the main traveller. A boom awning and extended canopy offer generous shade at anchor, while the removable dodger adds protection in any weather. On the foredeck, the tender well converts into a heated spa pool, while a crow’s nest up the mast provides some of the best views for guests.
A raised salon is surrounded by wraparound glass, offering panoramic views and abundant natural light. To port is a lounge area; to starboard, a navigation and helm station. Configured as a split-level arrangement, the lower salon features a dining area with the deckhouse windows acting as a skylight. The interior spans 242 sqm and is finished with white oak joinery, Loro Piana fabrics, and alpaca carpets, with custom details such as recessed vase holders, magazine racks, and picture frames. At the owner’s request, IMAGINE was fitted with several custom features, including an automated sliding main companionway door and opening portholes in the master suite. Every feature matters: from extra-large underfloor freezers added to maximise cold storage to a safe for firearms installed as required in the Arctic to ensure protection from polar bears.
IMAGINE accommodates up to nine guests across four cabins. Furthest aft is the full-beam master suite, complete with an en suite bathroom, walk-in wardrobe, study, vanity, and custom details such as a fridge and coffee station. The remaining accommodation comprises a double guest cabin, a twin cabin with an additional Pullman berth, and a fourth cabin arranged as a single with a Pullman. The main salon sofa can also be converted into two additional bunks if needed.
IMAGINE is equipped with a 61.9-metre mast by Southern Spars, carbon fibre rigging, and a furling boom. She carries an 895 sqm sail plan upwind, managed by captive winches engineered and built in-house by Alloy Yachts. These systems, together with her lifting keel, provide the versatility to balance shallow-water access with offshore performance. All sails have been upgraded over the years, and her North Sails jib is brand new for 2025. Under power, she is driven by a single Caterpillar C18 engine. A diesel-powered tender eliminates the need for refuelling outside.
