Drawing board: The Latest Superyacht Concepts


Project 3073

Feadship has revealed a design for a 63 metre all-aluminium sports yacht concept named Project 3073. Described as an “exceptionally fast Feadship”, the concept features a sleek exterior, open wheelhouse and state-of-the-art water jet propulsions system. A full-sized glass-bottom pool meanwhile delivers natural light into the owner’s area below.


Apex 850

Developed by Royal Huisman and Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design, this 85 metre sailing superyacht concept named Apex 850 would be the world’s largest sloop if built. Key features include a 200 square metre all-glass superstructure, retractable keel and rig measuring 107 metres.


Project 175

This 54.92 metre sailing superyacht all-aluminium design from Dixon Yacht Design features a sporty low profile flybridge design and lifting keel that reduces the draft from seven to 4.65 metres. Inside the 483GT interior, the yacht features a glazed saloon, formal dining area and bridge.


Columbus 40 Crossover

The latest addition to Columbus Yachts’ Crossover range, the Columbus 40 Crossover design was panned by Hydro Tec and pairs a steel displacement hull with a bulbous bow and “angled surfaces”. A swimming pool and large bathing platform sit aft while foldable bulwarks extend this space into a large and open beach club. Accommodation is for 10 guests in five cabins.


Iridium 60

Recently revealed by Ricky Smith Designs, Iridium 60 is a 60 metre Ice Class commercial-styled explorer design. Key features include side-loading tender garages, a helipad, covered swimming pool and gym. The lower deck has accommodation for a total of 24 crew while the upper deck is inspired by the facilities of a cruise liner and features a wine cellar, cocktail bar and library.
