The outboard version of the 48 Wallytender, named the 48 Wallytender X, has been revealed at the Miami Yacht Sow 2020.
The first unit in the outboard version, which feature a deep Tyrrhenian blue paint finish, sports four 450hp outboard Mercury Racing engines.
This allows for top speed of 55 knots, a cruising speed of 40 knots and a range of 320 nautical miles. This range can be extended to 350 nautical miles when cruising at 36 knots.
Speaking about the new model, Ferretti Group chief operating officer, Stefano de Vivo, said: "As a hotspot for the outboard yachting lifestyle, Florida is the perfect place to unveil this thrilling new model."
He described it as being "primed to unleash astounding speeds".
"The 48Wallytender X will undoubtedly turn heads with its unique match of power and style, the perfect choice for anyone who loves innovative high-performance boats.”
Wally founder Luca Bassani added: "We are very proud of what we have achieved with the breathtaking 48Wallytender X.
“We have been able to maintain the strong aesthetic identity of Wally and the many practical features already found on the inboard model, perfectly suited to serve the needs of clients who prefer the outboard experience in their boating lifestyle.”
It comes after the third and fourth units of the 48 Wallytender made their international debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival last year following the Ferretti Group's acquisition of the Wally brand. Fitted with inboard engines, the model has a lower top speed of 38 knots.
Key features of this “standalone runabout” include extensive day boating amenities, including a full cabin and shower for two guests, a galley unit with two fridges, one inside and one out, and a retractable Passarelle that doubles as a swim ladder. Fold-down bulwark sections increase the size of the swim platform.
