Turkish shipyard Alia Yachts has announced the launch of its 60-metre full-custom superyacht Serenity II. According to the yard, the new build stands as "one of the most significant yachts ever built"  by the builder.

Previously known as project ALY602 during construction, Serenity II hit the water at the yard's facilities in Antalya in January. She is now undergoing final commissioning and sea trials ahead of her delivery this spring.

The custom yacht reunited the same build team that worked on Alia'a 55-metre Al Waab, comprising Dutch studio Vripack and Dubai-based SF Yachts, the latter of which is acting as the owner’s representative. The superyacht was commissioned by “an experienced yachtsman who has owned numerous vessels of varying sizes over the past decade", the yard previously noted.

Vripack is behind both the exterior and interior design of the 1,062GT new build, working closely alongside the shipyard's in-house atelier to deliver the owner's vision. The studio unveiled Serenity II's interiors late last year, showcasing renders adorned in colour and rich textiles, which, according to Bart Bouwhuis, co-creative director at Vripack, mark "one of [Vripack's] most dazzling interiors yet".

The studio described Serenity II as "opulent and reserved" and "inviting and stately", with a refined tone that flows throughout her four decks. The owner's brief requested a "warm and sumptuous" interior for a multigenerational retreat where the family could reconnect after long days on the water. As such, Vripack opted for a "high-gloss, high-tactile" environment.

Vripack’s signature transitional lighting scheme is also on board: by day, natural light via full-height windows and by night, bespoke lighting for a softened ambience

This approach can be seen throughout the custom project, from the main saloon's polished Italian Calacatta marble flooring to the leather ceiling embossed with subtle Middle Eastern motifs in the multifunctional sky lounge cinema. The guest hallway to the owner’s suite is a standout on its own, with layers of leather, rosewood, marble inlays and custom lighting creating a dramatic entrance.

Interior highlights continue, including in the dayhead and guest bathrooms, which are each defined by their own signature colour and fitted with marble basins and Foglizzo leather-wrapped vanities. The six guest cabins (two twin and four VIPs) are finished with "artisanal patterned carpets" – each one said to have required eight months to produce. On the upper deck, the master suite takes pride of place, complete with a walk-in wardrobe, a private lounge and a foredeck terrace. Total accommodation on board is for 16 guests.

One of the yacht’s most striking features is the multilayered floor surrounding the central lift, which connects all decks

The yacht is designed for easy navigation and maintenance, with the galley and crew saloon found forward of the main deck – also home to a technical room and side-loading tender garage. Total crew quarters accommodate a crew of 13. Elsewhere, a “sprawling” beach club sits on the lower deck, complete with a massage room, dive store, gym and steam shower.

Serenity II is a yacht that perfectly reflects what Alia stands for today,” said Gökhan Çelik, president of Alia Yachts. “She is fully custom, technically ambitious and beautifully resolved in every respect. From her elegant exterior lines to her engineering platform and interior execution, she represents the kind of uncompromising, bespoke yacht building that defines our shipyard.”

Çelik concluded: “She has a very distinctive presence on the water, graceful and refined, yet with the volume, capability and engineering pedigree expected of a world-class 60-metre superyacht. We are extremely proud to see her launched and look forward to delivering her to her owner ahead of the Mediterranean summer.”

According to BOATPro, Alia Yachts currently has six yachts on order and under construction. This includes the yard's largest in-build project, the custom 65-metre superyacht, known provisionally as hull ALY651, which was sold last year.
