Italian builder Arcadia Yachts has reported a bustling order book totalling around €20M, with nine yachts due for delivery in 2022.
The shipyard attributed its record number of orders to a business strategy implemented by founder Ugo Pellegrino and chief commercial officer Francesco Frediani, who joined the company last year.
As well as the increase in owners approaching Arcadia, the profile of these owners is changing, the builder said.
“They now have a much more diverse background than in the past,” Arcadia said in a statement. It attributed this change to its strategy of “brand internationalisation” which sees the yachts’ design features tweaked to the lifestyles of different territories.
The yard is now experiencing increased interest from territories such as Dubai, US and Asia Pacific region and announced plans to base brand representatives in these areas.
The news comes as Arcadia announced the sale of the fourth hull in its Sherpa 80 XL series. The yard currently has nine yachts due for delivery in 2022.
