The Italian Sea Group has confirmed the sale of a 46.5m sailing catamaran, which will become one of the largest catamaran yachts in the world when built.

It comes after the yacht’s owner Frédéric Jousset spoke to BOAT about the project previously named ArtExplorer, which will house a vast main deck exhibition space on board.

The yacht, which is at the beginning of the executive design phase, will be constructed at the Marina di Carrara shipyard under the Admiral brand. The order of the yacht, which will be project managed by Fraser Yachts, was finalised earlier this year.

Exterior and interior design will be penned by Axel de Beaufort and Guillaume Verdier while the yacht will boast a 17.3 metre beam.

Speaking about the announcement, Italian Sea Group founder and chief executive Giovanni Costantino said: “This project confirms our ability to overcome every limit in a way that allows us to approach the sailing world as well, opening more interesting growth possibilities to The Italian Sea Group”.
