In honour of its 150th anniversary, Italian shipyard Benetti has presented a new 40-metre limited edition of its successful B.Yond line. The Limited Edition Voyager will be available to purchase in a 12-month window and will bear most of the same hallmarks as the original B.Yond line, including a long 8,200-nautical-mile range at nine knots and ample interior volume.
Highlights of the Voyager model include an aft deck with a glass-bottomed infinity pool laid out transversely and stretching out over almost eight square metres. There is a seating area with coffee tables and C-shaped seating immediately forward, and the entire space spans 80 square metres and is flanked by glass railings with teak handrails.
The yacht has a five-cabin arrangement with four large cabins on the main deck plus a full-beam master suite. On this deck, a garage can also accommodate two Jet Skis, a 6.5-metre tender and a rescue boat. Meanwhile, the lower deck has five cabins for crew, including captains' quarters, and an additional cabin that can be replaced by a gym, a cabin with a bathroom, or a wellness area equipped with a steam bath or sauna.
There is an alternative al afresco lounge area on the upper deck aft, which features an enclosed Hampton-style veranda fitted with audio and video systems with the wheelhouse area found forward. Crowning the model is a sundeck with a bar and a comfortable outdoor dining area with a table, all shaded by the hard top, plus an additional sunbathing area.
Benetti has said that the Voyager model will offer plenty of scope for customisation, as well as an option to install the E-Mode Hybrid propulsion system, developed in partnership with Siemens Energy. The system offers four different operating modes, including full electric. In a statement, the yard said: "Based on an average annual use of 1,000 hours (400 underway and the rest at anchor) fuel consumption and CO2 can be reduced by up to 24 per cent, and NOx by a maximum of 85 per cent".
