New interior renderings have been released of Maybach Ocean Club’s 155-metre yacht project Beyond Horizons, offering a first look at the residential-style spaces and onboard amenities planned for the invitation-only private members’ club at sea.

The project was first presented at the 2025 edition of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show by Splendid Sea – a company co-founded by superyacht captain Matthias Bosse and hospitality and private club entrepreneur Michael Hehn. The pair simultaneously unveiled Maybach Ocean Club as a "new category of ultra-luxury travel and ownership".

In June, German shipyard Lloyd Werft announced that it had been selected as the shipyard build partner, confirming a scheduled delivery of 2029, with her maiden voyage anticipated to take place in the same year.

The 155-metre has been developed in collaboration with Splendid Sea, German naval architects Dölker + Voges, Mercedes-Maybach and Lloyd Werft.

According to the Club, Beyond Horizons has been designed as a "floating private sanctuary" and will feature 30 identical residential-style suites offering around 74 square metres of space and private balconies for up to 72 members and guests. Six additional guest cabins will also be located forward for short-term use by invited friends and family of members.

The newly released interior renderings offer a first look at the yacht’s proposed marina-style beach club, complete with an infinity pool and direct access to the sea, alongside a spa and longevity centre, fitness and gym studios, a medical centre, multiple bars and lounges, and a range of dining spaces.

The Club says the yacht will have approximately 91,500 square feet of public areas, designed to give members a choice of private retreats and shared social spaces. In terms of entertainment, live music, art exhibitions and cultural programming are also on the proposal.

The wider concept is supported by a 70-metre support vessel, which will be located nearby for tenders, watercraft and operational logistics, as well as a helicopter and bespoke services.

The yacht is said to take direct inspiration from Mercedes-Maybach’s automotive aesthetic, drawn with sculptural surfaces, elongated proportions and a colour palette including the brand’s signature rose-gold.

In October, Maybach Ocean Club also announced a partnership with Swiss preventive-health specialist Chenot, which will develop and operate the yacht’s health, wellbeing and longevity concept. Grounded in the Chenot Method®, the programme will bring together nutrition, sleep, movement and recovery, with the aim of making preventive health part of members’ everyday lives on board.

The partnership will also inform the design of dedicated wellbeing spaces and elements of the wider onboard environment, including the use of light, sound, materials and the relationship with the sea.

The Club has also appointed three-Michelin-starred chef Alain Roux and The Waterside Inn as its exclusive food and beverage partner. The collaboration will extend beyond menu development to include the design of galleys and dining venues, wine curation, supplier partnerships and training for the yacht’s kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Dining is expected to range from a signature restaurant inspired by Roux’s French heritage to more relaxed beach club meals and private in-suite dining.

At the time Lloyd Werft was selected as the project's shipyard partner, Captain Matthias Bosse, co-founder and managing director of Maybach Ocean Club, said: “More than a vessel, the heart of the Maybach Ocean Club is the private circle of 300 individuals from around the world who will come together through shared experiences aboard the yacht, in the water and on curated excursions."

He continued: "This club reflects Maybach’s design language and spirit of innovation, but also speaks to something timeless, sharing special places and experiences with people who matter most in our lives.”

Beyond Horizons'  seasonal itineraries are expected to include the Mediterranean during summer and the Caribbean in winter. Curated partnerships with leading brands, concierge services and global private members’ clubs are also expected to "enrich and elevate" the experience.

Thorsten Rönner, shareholder and managing director of Lloyd Werft, commented at the signing earlier this year: “We are pursuing an exceptional and forward-looking approach to the yachting of tomorrow with this community concept. We see considerable potential in it for new market segments and user groups."

Lloyd Werft is famed for delivering some of the world’s most technically advanced yachts, including the explorer yacht Luna and expedition yacht Solaris.
