Benetti Sail Division signs contract for a new 45m Logica superyacht

Benetti Sail Division announces the sale of a new superyacht, the second hull of the recent Logica series. With a length of 45m, the BSD 147 Logica is part of the recent and complete renewal of the different ranges proposed by the Italian yard since 2010. She will also be the largest yacht ever built by this Italian yard.

The Logica series is designed by Luca Brenta, the first foray into the motor yacht world for a designer normally specialising in sailing yachts. He gives a fresh and modern style to this displacement yacht. This slim trideck superyacht is characterised by a low and sharp design with large and continuous windows along the superstructure and large square portholes in the hull, improving the quantity of natural light inside.

The standard interior layout accommodates 10 guests in a master, two double and two twin cabins with one Pullman each plus berths for nine crew.

On the technical side, the BSD 147 Logica will be RINA Green Plus certified. She will be powered by twin Caterpillar engines of 1,320hp each, giving a top speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 14.2 knots and a range of 4,600 nautical miles at 10 knots.

The construction of the BSD 147 Logica will start soon, and her delivery is scheduled for 2013. She will be preceded by the launch of the first BSD 98 Logica in mid 2012.
