Italian yard Benetti has sold a new-build 65 metre custom yacht to the Asian market.

The yacht, known as FB270, will be the first Benetti yacht built under China Classification Society and the first to fly the Chinese flag.

Built from a steel hull and aluminium superstructure to a design by Giorgio M. Cassetta, FB270 will feature a 160 square metre owner’s suite.

Layouts have been configured in-house by the Benetti Basic and Executive Design Department while hull lines have been drawn by Pierluigi Ausonio.

Interior design has also been carried out in-house by Maria Rosa Remedi of the Benetti Interior Style Department. The styling will be “reminiscent of the sea, beaches and tropical islands,” the yard said.

Other features include service bathrooms on every deck, spacious technical spaces and plentiful storage. Special attention has been paid into keeping crew and guest areas private to ensure maximum privacy.

General manager of Benetti Yachts Asia, Peter Mahony, said: “Following extensive work between China Classification Society, Benetti and Lloyds Register who will also provide class on this yacht, we are delighted to have confirmed this new build order.”

FB270 is scheduled for delivery in early 2021.
