Bentley has teamed up with Dutch yard Contest Yachts on the interior design of an 18m Contest 59 CS sailing yacht.
The interior of the yacht has been customised to match the interior of the owner’s Continental GT V8 coupe Bentley sports car.
Bentley Design Services worked in collaboration with Contest to take details of the car’s interior and incorporate them into the yacht. This included the Hotspur red leather and contrasting Linen beige hide, which is found throughout the owner’s Continental GT V8 coupe.
The interior panelling of the yacht also includes Bentley’s diamond-in-diamond stitching as well as a bespoke nautical trim. The exterior of the yacht also reflects the car’s styling, with the deep blue hull mimicking the “light sapphire finish” of the car.
“This project was an opportunity for Bentley Design Services to showcase some of their many skills in a truly unique collaboration. Bentley cars embrace qualities of craftsmanship and styling that are only achieved at the highest level of nautical design, said Brett Boydell, head of Bentley Design Collaborations.
Speaking about the collaboration Contest chief executive and co-owner Arjen Conijn added: “We are well-known for our thorough approach to customisation, which allows us to fulfill the expectations and preferences of every customer.
“This project is the ultimate example of this approach - working with Bentley to turn a customer’s dream into reality."
