Bilgin Yachts has revealed renderings of its new 52m exploration yacht concept, which has been designed by the renowned Tony Castro. With its grade A steel hull the yacht will have go-anywhere capabilities and is projected to have a 6,000 nautical mile range at 9 knots, or 4,500 nautical miles at 11 knots.
Although modern and streamlined in appearance, the Voyager's exterior design alludes to the traditional profile of exploration yachts with its superstructure forward and a large aft deck, but instead of the more typical tender stowage here, the yacht has an infinity pool set in a beach deck with steps down to a bathing platform that can be extended on either side with unique fold-out balconies.
Two tenders - a 4.5m and a 5.8m - are stowed on the foredeck, while aft lazarettes have space for up to four jet skis and a submarine.
Within her interior, guest areas include a saloon and dining area on the main deck, which also features fold-down balconies on either side and opens out on to the aft deck with an alfresco dining table, sunloungers and the pool. There is another saloon with a bar and separate cinema room on the bridge deck, which also has a large aft deck with comfortable seating.
The entire top deck is reserved for the owner featuring a full-beam bedroom with panoramic views forward and a private aft deck complete with spa pool, and it has a lift going all the way down to the lower deck.
For the guests there is a full-beam VIP suite on the main deck with its own sitting area and fold-down balcony and a further four cabins on the lower deck - three doubles and one twin, all with en suite shower rooms. Crew quarters on the lower deck comprise the crew mess, laundry facilities and six cabins for 10 crew, while the captain has his own cabin off the bridge.
The yacht will be fitted with twin CAT C3512B engines projected to power the yacht to a top speed of 16 knots with a cruising speed of 14 knots. She is also specified with Kohler generators and Naiad zero speed stabilisers.
All this could be yours for €17.5 million and ready to cruise within 18 months of the contract being signed.
