Almost five years after its Cannes Yachting Festival debut, the Pershing 82 VHP has been given a makeover by Italian parent yard Ferretti Group.
Designer Fulvio De Simoni worked alongside the Ferretti Group’s product strategy committee to revamp this 24.98 metre fast-planing yacht.
Among the improvements include a whole new interior design scheme in the saloon, with reworked Poltrona Frau furnishings, new dark grey lacquered details and refined oak woodwork.
Moving further forward and the helm station has also been spruced up. Three ergonomic, sporty seats mean that the captain and co-pilots can cruise in the lap of luxury.
Below decks, the four cabins have also been reworked. Mirrored bulkheads help to spread natural light around, while metallic patterned Èlitis wallpaper adds an artistic flourish. Antoniolupi basins, Bisazza mosaics and Pomd’or accessories in the en-suite washrooms complete the new look.
Of course, one of the main selling points of the Pershing 82 VHP is flat-out speed (VHP stands for very high performance). To this end, the Ferretti Group has added a new, more powerful engine option.
Twin 2,600hp MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines will allow for a blistering top speed of more than 50 knots, with a fast cruising speed of 45 knots, making the new Pershing 82 VHP one of the world’s fastest superyachts. The first of the new generation is due to be delivered before the end of the year.
Other projects currently under development at the Italian yard include the 22.66 metre Pershing 74 series, which has also been given a recent overhaul with new Alpi woodwork and Zimmer + Rodhe upholstery.
