First Mangusta GranSport 34 yacht model launched

15 April 2026 • Written by Emily Dawkins

Italian shipyard Mangusta, a brand of Overmarine Group, has announced the launch of the first unit from its GranSport 34 series. The 33.9-metre new build hit the water at the yard's facilities in Viareggio and is scheduled for delivery in May to her American owner.

The model builds on Mangusta's successful 33.3-metre GranSport 33 line (which has 12 units delivered to date) and has evolved with a more contemporary design language and additional technological solutions. Alberto Mancini returned to the yard for the model's design, working in close collaboration with Overmarine's in-house team, who were also responsible for the naval architecture and interiors.

The yacht's sale was announced by brokerage firm FGI Yacht Group in May last year, with Henry Schonthal representing the buyer. According to BOATPro, the shipyard began construction under speculation in September 2024.

According to the builders, the GranSport 34 combines "rakish, sporty lines" with impressive performance and a versatile layout. A key feature is its limited draught, designed for navigation in shallow waters and extended cruising opportunities. Four Volvo Penta IPS engines offer a maximum speed of 24 knots and a "considerable" range for long-range journeys, while an enlarged aft cockpit and garage host mandatory SCR filters for ECA cruising.

On board, living spaces are connected for ease of movement between cruising, relaxation and conviviality - also thanks to the restyled profile, which benefits from larger glazed surfaces on both the main and lower decks. Accommodation is across a 40-square-metre master suite on the main deck, while four guest cabins (two VIP and two double) and three crew cabins are located on the lower deck.

"The Mangusta GranSport 34 is being met enthusiastically overseas," said Stefano Arlunno, president of Mangusta Americas. "As many as six units of the 33-metre model were delivered to American clients. The secret of this model’s success lies in its sporty profile and the flawless balance between generous volumes, a speed of up to 24 knots, and a very limited draught – a vital feature to cruise in US waters and the Caribbean."

According to BOATPro, there are 26 yachts currently on order or under construction at the Italian yard, including three other Mangusta GranSport 34 hulls. The shipyard unveiled a new 49.9-metre addition to its GranSport range at the 2026 Palm Beach International Boat Show last month.
