Greek shipyard Golden Yachts hosted an environmentally conscious cleanup event at Marina Zeas, Athens, to promote seabed cleaning. The event, held on 15 December, was a “Christmas celebration of environmental consciousness” and aimed to showcase a commitment to protecting the oceans through sustainable development.
A selection of Golden Yachts crew members gathered to participate in this seabed cleanup, retrieving plastic waste. In conjunction with the event, a workshop was held that focused on highlighting the vital role of the oceans and preventing marine pollution.
In addition, the crews involved shared their insights on eco-conscious operational yachting practices and the importance of effective waste management.
This event was in collaboration with various partnerships from Helmepa Save The Seas, D-Marin Marinas, Antipollution, Make a Wish Foundation and Sq Learn.
