A first look inside the 47-metre Heesen superyacht Atina has been offered by her central agency for charter, Edmiston

Atina has joined the charter market for the first time following an extensive refit project at Turkish yard FDC Yachts. She was redelivered in July 2022 and made her first appearance at the Dubai International Boat Show 2023.

Delivered in 2008, Atina scooped up a Neptune at the following year's World Superyacht Awards. She has sailed under many names since, including Elandess, Raasta and Naseem

She was sold to a new owner in June 2021 and checked into FDC Yachts’ 6,000 square metre facilities in Bodrum, Turkey, in November 2021. The refit work was overseen by Red Yacht Design and lasted eight months, with major changes to her exterior and Bannenberg & Rowell-designed interior.

Cana Gokhan, design director and co-founder of Red Yacht Design, said the aim was to make the most out of Atina's exterior spaces with a significant focus placed on the sundeck, at the owner's request. The deck was redesigned with a larger pool set forward of the new navigation mast, a Teppanyaki grill and an enormous bar that can seat up to 12 guests for parties or sporting events (with the addition of a television).

The aft area of the sun deck, which was originally left empty with free-standing loungers, has been redesigned to include fixed sofas and sun pads. Above, a new hardtop and mast were designed to be more modern while integrating with the existing lines of the superstructure. Side windows were added to shield the area from wind and offer a higher degree of privacy to guests on board.

Elsewhere, the bridge deck aft was redesigned to accommodate a more spacious lounge area for "hanging out" after an evening meal, while the garage has been transformed into a "casual" beach club space with a gym and direct access to the water provided by an electric swim ladder added to the transom door.

Accommodation is across five cabins, including a full-beam owner's cabin complete with en suite and lounge areas. Atina's interior features a revised upper saloon designed in close collaboration with the owner, with a new entertainment system installed throughout. Wooden grain panelling and metallic detailing have been incorporated throughout, while a collection of abstract art and "fashion-inspired sculptures" are guaranteed conversation starters.

The yacht is also equipped with three tenders, including a VanDutch 40, alongside an inflatable pool with fishnet, two Yamaha Jet Skis, two F5 Seabobs, and water-skis.

Atina is priced from €220,000 per week. She will be operating in Corsica and the French Riviera.
