In pictures: Inside the inaugural BOAT Connect networking event in London

28 March 2022

Take a look inside BOAT International’s inaugural networking event, BOAT Connect. As one of the first events of its kind for the superyacht industry, BOAT Connect was introduced earlier this month at the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour, London.

The event

The event aimed to encourage a new style of networking by offering meetings in a style similar to speed dating. Representatives from nine superyacht design studios were connected with nine prospective suppliers for 10 minutes at a time. The discussions were not set with any talking points, but were instead designed to facilitate relevant conversations and to create lasting and meaningful partnerships. To round off the event, all attendees were invited for networking drinks.

The attendees

Our partners for the event were Bella Figura, The Rug Company, Perennials and Sutherland, Gym Marine, Summit Furniture, Sunbrella, Norfolk Interior Specialists, Christopher Hyde and De Lamerie.

The guests in attendance included representatives from Gosling, Gresham Yacht Design, Harrison Eidsgaard, Winch Design, Finchatton, Studio Indigo, Vickers Studio and RWD.

The venue

London’s Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour was host to the event and is one of the leading destinations for design and decoration intel. As the largest design centre in Europe, it is home to 120 showrooms and over 600 luxury brands. It is a resourceful and thriving platform for creative and commercial design for any kind of industry.
