Construction on a custom 28.6 metre luxury sportfisher named III Amigos is underway at Michael Rybovich & Sons Shipyard.
Due for delivery in 2021, the luxury yacht is described as “unmistakably a fish fighter and contender against all residents of the sea”.
Designed inside and out by Patrick Knowles Designs, the yacht will feature accommodation for a total of six guests in three staterooms comprising a full beam master suite, portside cabin and starboard twin cabin, all with ensuite heads. There is also accommodation on board for a total of four crew.
The yacht will also feature a number of “design features more akin to that of a luxury megayacht”, the yard said. It added that there is plenty of scope for owner customisation.
Customised details include barstools upholstered in genuine Florida alligator hide, a dinette inspired by the cabin of a Ferrari car and a galley equipped with all the “necessities” to satisfy the chef owner.
Designer Patrick Knowles said: “Using the owner’s own brand benchmark of contrast with his desire for a yacht that felt like ‘one with the water’, we created an impressive blend of colour, depth and texture that truly culminated in a strikingly gorgeous vessel that still remains true to the fish fighter she is meant to be.”
He added that “any preconceived images” of a sportfishing yacht design “will indeed be defied” by III Amigos.
