Fast Naan: First Viper 130 yacht launched ahead of Cannes debut

ISA Yachts, a brand of Palumbo Superyachts, has announced the launch of the first unit from its Viper 130 model, christened Fast Naan

The 38.8-metre new build hit the water at the yard's facilities in Ancona, Italy, during a ceremony attended by her owners, their guests and the shipyard team. Her launch comes mere weeks ahead of her global debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival, which will be followed shortly after by her attendance at the Monaco Yacht Show.

The GRP planing yacht was sold to an American client two months after the full Viper line was unveiled by ISA Yachts in May 2024. The buyer was introduced by Zarpo Yachts, which previously managed the sale of the 42-metre Columbus Crossover model from ISA's sister brand, Big Naan

Italian designer Fulvio De Simoni collaborated on the exterior and interior design of the Viper 130, working on the exterior with ISA Yachts’ in-house team, while the naval architecture was developed by the shipyard and Studio Ing. Arnaboldi. The result is a bold and sporty profile with taut, dynamic lines that lean into the yacht's performance-driven character.

Her interiors are just as standout - a notable feature being the cockpit, which has been laid out into three distinct zones: a lounge space with sofa seating, a coffee table, a large sunpad and side-opening balconies; an al fresco dining space for ten; and a beach club, equipped with a multifunctional transformer. There is also a combined galley and bar, fitted with an electrically operated, switchable-glass partition that tailors the area to show cooking or more informal occasions.

The ISA Viper line comprises three models: the Viper 100, Viper 130 and Viper 140

The main deck features a second bar and a saloon arranged into two separate lounge areas, furnished with semi-circular sofas, armchairs and a 10-seater table. Interior space is also maximised by floor-to-ceiling windows, a single port-side walkway to the bow, while another balcony amidships provides direct ocean views from the sofas. The wheelhouse is also found on the main deck.

Meanwhile, the sundeck (sheltered by a carbon-fibre hardtop) includes the second helm station, two large sunpads to aft and a lounge area with sofas and armchairs, an L-shaped bar and a 10-seater table. Another communal space is the bow, arranged with a circular pool, sunloungers and sofa seating.

Accommodation is for up to 11 guests across five lower-deck cabins, including an owner's suite with two bathrooms and four guest cabins (two double and two twin plus Pullman) with en suite. Further quarters accommodate up to six crew members in three en suite cabins.

Equipped with three 2,200 hp MAN V12X engines, coupled with two MJP waterjets and a central MJP booster, the Viper 130 is expected to reach a maximum speed of 33 knots and a cruising speed of 26 knots. A garage for a five-metre tender is also located on the starboard side.

According to BOATPro, the shipyard has 14 yachts currently under development. The yard recently waved goodbye to the first superyacht from its new ISA Gran Turismo 67M model, Sea Raider X, which will also be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
