The SF40 _Serenity, _the first yacht to be launched from Mondomarine's new SF line, has just completed her first long voyage.

The 42.3 metre yacht was launched in 2015 and has recently made the 4,500 nautical mile journey from the shipyard in Savona, Italy to Dubai, where she will be displayed at the 2016 Dubai Boat Show (March 1-5).

The SF gets its name from Mondomarine’s Middle East dealer, SF Yachts. The all-aluminium yacht was designed by Luca Vallebona at SFL Design, and interior design is by the Dubai based designer Fatema Amaidan, also from SFL Design.

“The ship represents a new concept born to provide a clean and well-balanced design together with a new conception of internal and external volumes and layout,” said the yard.

The bridge is located at the forward part of the top deck, which leaves more space for the notably large split level master suite below. The bedroom area is on the upper deck, with huge slanted windows providing an unrivalled amount of light for a yacht of this size. Steps lead forward and down to the bathroom and dressing area, while a sliding door provides access to a private outside lounging area. Four guest cabins, each with its own colour theme, provide total accommodation for up to 10 guests.

Serenity's upper deck saloon is a cinema room with brightly coloured furnishings, and blackout blinds with Hollywood movie posters printed onto them. On the main deck the well-lit saloon features a lounge and a 10 seat dining table.

Outside there is a pool on the sun deck aft, which is sheltered behind the bridge, and al fresco dining for 12 on the upper deck aft.

The SF40 has twin MTU 12V 2000 M94 main engines which offer a top speed of 17.5 knots. She has a range of 4500 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Serenity has been shortlisted as a finalist for the 2016 World Superyacht Awards and the 2016 ShowBoat Design Awards.

Mondomarine recently revealed the interesting design features of its M60 SeaFalcon concept, which it believes is “the next generation 60 metre sport yacht".

Future Mondomarine deliveries include the 50 metre M50 Aria and the M40 Explorer yacht.
