More details emerge of Wally Ace superyacht

30 January 2012

Wally today revealed more information and images of its first 26.23m Wally Ace yacht, which the builder believes offers a light, spacious environment unmatched by its competitors.

The Wally Ace, which we reported as for sale last year, will contain 282 square metres of floor space, including 128 square metres of outside areas over two decks, and a 41 square metre saloon. Wally estimates the yacht offers 30 per cent more space than its nearest competitor in length.

Highlights of the design include the aft owner’s suite with direct access to an outdoor terrace, a large garage storing toys and a six-metre tender, as well as an unusually spacious galley and crew quarters.

It will feature quiet, fuel-efficient diesel engines, plus gyroscopic stabilisation and it is intended as a long-distance ocean cruiser.

The first Wally Ace hull is nearing completion and will soon undergo a final fit and testing. Two further hulls are also in build and are due for completion in the second half of this year.
