Revealed: Qnautic and Vripack's Q52 superyacht tender

The first model of the new Q52 superyacht tender designed by Vripack is nearing completion at the Qnautic shipyard.

Scheduled for delivery in summer 2021, the Q52 is the second model developed by the partnership between the two Dutch brands. Qnautic and Vripack previously collaborated on the Q39 super-RIB launched in 2020.

“The idea for the Q39 originated from a need for fast and safe RIB suitable for offshore use. By combining existing RIB designs with contemporary techniques and styling, the Q39 super RIB was born. So, when tasked with the brief to take it to the next level and re-create the Q52 tender, we happily accepted the challenge,” said Marnix J. Hoekstra, co-creative director of Vripack.

The Q52 tender measures 16.1 metres with a 4.5 metre beam. Constructed from GRP, the tender features a deep V-planing hull and is powered by two 600 hp Cummins QSC engines for a top speed of 40 knots.

Stylish teak decking runs throughout and a bronze hull colour gives her the exterior a stylish and distinctive look. The interiors are characterised by wide helm seats, wraparound seating and ergonomically-designed exterior spaces to maximise comfort on board.

A wide passarelle makes for easy access, while a wet bar with a sink and fridge ensures that guests will travel in complete comfort on their journeys to and from the mothership. The Q52 will be undergoing sea trials in the coming months.
