Rafael Nadal's Sunreef 80 Power catamaran Great White is set to be exclusively showcased at this year's Monaco Yacht Show, according to Sunreef Yachts

The yacht will attend the biggest event in the yachting calendar alongside the Sunreef 80 sailing catamaran Double Happiness. It comes after the 24 metre catamaran was delivered to the international tennis star in his home town of Mallorca in June 2020.

Sunreef president and founder Francis Lapp previously described the delivery as "an unforgettable event".

"My team in Gdańsk made every effort to create the yacht Rafa and his wife Maria dreamed of. I am convinced that they will have a great time with their friends and family on board," he added.

Nadal commissioned the fully customised catamaran after previously chartering a number of Sunreef catamarans and meeting yard founder and president Francis Lapp at the 2018 Cannes Yachting Festival. The in-house designed model is intended for long cruises and features “bold, contemporary hull styling,” according to the yard.

Key features are stainless steel portlights, high bulwarks and subtle ambient lighting, as well as a superyacht tender garage large enough to accommodate a tender and Jet Ski, as well as numerous other water toys.

The yard offers a number of options for the upper deck, including a waterfall-fed spa pool, upper helm position, bar area and retractable hard-top. Accommodation on board is for a total of 12 guests and four crew members. Power options include either twin 575hp engines or twin 1,200 hp engines.

Speaking at the time of the yacht's sale, Nadal revealed he intended to use the Sunreef 80 Power around the coastline of his home island Mallorca.

“As someone from an island, as I am, the sea is part of our lives and It’s not a secret that I love the sea. Every time I am at home in Mallorca I try to go out and find that time where I can just enjoy my time on a boat,” he said.
