Turkish yard RMK Yachts, a brand of RMK Marine, has announced a new, "visionary superyacht project" known as Orca 58. The 58-metre was officially unveiled at this year's Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, though she was conceived several years ago and has already had her steel hull built. Now, the design has been reimagined in collaboration with Monaco-based Lagaria Yacht Design & Architecture and relaunched to market.
"We saw great potential in the original hull, a structure built with precision and integrity," said Cüneyt Okcu, director of RMK Yachts. "Rather than starting from scratch, we decided to honour that foundation and transform it into a new expression of our design philosophy, engineering capability, and vision for the future."
With a 12-metre beam and an approximate volume of 1,000GT, the yacht for sale is "30 per cent larger" than others in her size bracket. The yard claims that this "openness, comfort and flexibility" is what will appeal to the modern owner, particularly those based in the US.
Accommodation is for up to 12 guests and 13 crew, with onboard highlights ranging from a flush six-by-three-metre pool on the main deck aft to al fresco dining and a generous beach club with fold-down bulwarks. Interiors are customisable, with the option to install a gym, sky lounge, cinema or spa.
Key specs include a 15-knot max speed and a range of 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. The project is available for sale with United Yacht Sales.
According to BOATPro, RMK Marine has two superyacht projects under construction: a 65-metre explorer yacht and the 49.9-metre Aries, designed in collaboration with Milanese studio Hot Lab.
