US-headquartered shipyard Lazzara has unveiled the interiors of the first unit in its UHV 87 series, named Sandro. Hitting the water at the yard's Antalya facilities in Turkey in April 2021, the yacht is set to make her debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival next week.
The yacht's complete interior and exterior package has been completed in-house by Lazzara.
The design team had plenty of space to work with, as Sandro boasts around 200 square metres of interior living space and around 80 square metres of exterior deck area. According to the yard, Sandro rivals yachts more than twice her size in terms of space, and has "the greatest gross tonnage of any yacht in this class".
The space is condensed into a striking exterior with an unusual use of glazing that gives the appearance of decks blending together. Designed to be distinctive, the lines help lengthen her profile and ensure she stands out from the crowds.
The interior has a sophisticated theme with a colour palette of ice white, warm champagne and touches of gold. Exotic woods and artisan leather feature alongside bronze touches and unique sculptures.
In the saloon, a chandelier takes pride of place above a dining area for eight, and the space also benefits from a generous sofa and matching love seat alongside an entertainment centre and large windows.
The yacht benefits from a skylounge too, with a bar that overlooks a floor-to-ceiling widow, a games table and a large-screen TV that's primed for cosy movie nights.
Sandro offers accommodations for eight guests across four suites. The king-size master cabin is located on the main deck and features a seating area, desk and spa-style ensuite bathroom clad in marble.
The remaining cabins comprise a VIP cabin, guest double, and twin cabin on the lower deck.
The deck layout affords good privacy when the yacht is in port or at anchor, with wide exterior decks on the aft where guests can enjoy dining and unwinding.
The foredeck is home to an alternative seating area, with a generous sunpad and sofa seating. Meanwhile, tender storage and a swim platform are located on the aft.
Powered by twin Volvo engines, the Lazzara UHV 87 has a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. To provide increased onboard comfort, Sandro has floating floors that dampen noise and vibration.
The UHV line is designed to offer "ultra-high volume", and includes two other other larger models: the 30 metre UHV 100 and 38 metre UVH 125.
