Sanlorenzo has completed its 30th and final launch of the year with the latest SD112 yacht, which has been named I.
Hull number 11 in the series, this 34.1 metre tri-deck semi-displacement yacht features naval architecture by the in-house team and exterior styling by Francesco Paszkowski.
Sanlorenzo adds that I was splashed earlier this month in a private ceremony at the yard’s Viareggio facility, attended by the owner and his friends and family who travelled from Belgium to witness the launch.
Accommodation is for up to ten guests split across five cabins including an owner’s cabin, two double suites and two twin rooms. In addition, there is crew accommodation for a staff of five people.
With a beam of 7.66 metres, I was built from a GRP hull and superstructure. She a maximum draught of two metres and a total interior volume of 266GT.
Power comes from a pair of 1,224hp MTU 12V 2000 M72 engines that should deliver a top speed of 15 knots. When trimmed back to her cruising speed of 11 knots, I will have a maximum cruising range of 2,750 nautical miles, thanks to her total fuel capacity of 25,000 litres.
The launch of I completes a highly successful year for Sanlorenzo, who recently expanded into a new site at La Spezia, which will be dedicated to building superyachts measuring from 40 to 80 metres.
Other projects currently under development at the Italian yard include the first model in the 26.8 metre SX88 yacht series, which is due to be launched in time for next summer’s Cannes Yachting Festival.
