Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has sent hull 131 in its 28.9-metre SD96 series into the water at its facility in Viareggio.
The yacht was initially commissioned and customised by a seasoned yacht owner who upgraded to a larger Sanlorenzo during construction. This unit, now available for sale with Lengers Yachts, was conceived to serve as “a year-round floating sanctuary, offering a second home on the water.”
Accommodation is for ten guests across five cabins, plus additional space for five crew. Long lines of glazing on the main deck ensure panoramic views for the master suite forward, while the guest cabins are situated on the lower deck for heightened privacy. While interior details have not been released, this unit's airy, contemporary aesthetic and neutral colour palette is owed to Francesco Paszkowski.
A notable design point is the generous outdoor convivial areas. Found on the main deck and sun deck aft, they feature sun loungers and sofa seating and can also be enclosed depending on weather conditions.
Built with a semi-displacement hull and GRP superstructure, the SD96 series is able to reach a maximum speed of 17 knots. Three more units are expected to be delivered this year, according to BOATPro.
