Damen Yachting’s in-build 55.7 metre SeaXplorer superyacht is taking shape.
New images show the yacht progressing at Damen’s production facility in Antalya with work underway on the steel construction. The yacht remains on track for delivery in 2022.
IMO Polar Code compliant and capable of 30 days of autonomy at sea, the SeaXplorer 55 features exterior design by Azure Naval Architects.
Key features include an aft expedition centre, which is capable of storing multiple tenders and toys and has a 12 metre slipway. Helicopter capable, the 55 SeaXplorer boasts a certified helideck.
Accommodation on board is for a total of 12 guests in six cabins and 18 crew. The H2 Yacht Design-penned 1090GT interior has a “contemporary and warm elegance”, proving that “exploration and luxury can go hand in hand”, according to the builder.
With a cruising speed of 11.5 knots, the 55 SeaXplorer has a maximum cruising range of 5,000 nautical miles and top speed of 15 knots.
