The second Amels 200 superyacht has hit the water for the first time at Damen Yachting’s Netherlands based yard.
The 60 metre Limited Editions yacht is now set to undergo the final stages of outfitting ahead of delivery this summer. It comes after the yacht was sold late into the project.
"We are delighted to have sold Amels 200-02 and also to be able to mark the occasion with her launch,” said Amels and Damen Yachting sales manager Jorrit Pilaar. “I look forward to seeing the final stages come together and delivering the yacht to the owner later this year.”
Designed by Tim Heywood, the Amels 200 features hybrid electrical power, a four-deck elevator and air-conditioned gym on the sun deck, as well as larger aft decks, swimming platform and full-height windows in the owner’s suite.
The huge 1,015GT interior is penned by Ancona-based studio Luxury Projects, which was commissioned for the concept interior design for the Amels 200.
Chief executive and studio founder Laura Pomponi said: “Up until the moment of sale, we have been working with Amels as if we have been working for a client without any difference.
“The cooperation to reach this point and to achieve the sale has been fantastic and it’s wonderful to see her launched and ready for the final phase before delivery to her new owner.”
It comes after the first Amels 200 superyacht was launched earlier this year.
