The second 60m Amels 200 superyacht, now named Moonstone, has been spotted passing through Gibraltar as its maiden voyage gets underway.
The yacht was delivered earlier this month and has now arrived in Athens, Greece. The yacht will spend its maiden voyage cruising the Aeolian islands, Sicily and Sardinia.
"I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the capabilities and seeing what Moonstone is made of," said captain Nathan Milicich.
The delivery of the yacht came just three months after the sale and launch of the superyacht, demonstrating the fast turnaround of Amels' Limited Editions build platform.
Designed by Tim Heywood, the Amels 200 features hybrid electrical power, a four-deck elevator and air-conditioned gym on the sun deck, as well as larger aft decks, swimming platform and full-height windows in the owner’s suite.
The huge 1,015GT interior is penned by Ancona-based studio Luxury Projects, which was commissioned for the concept interior design for the Amels 200. Due to the fast turnaround of the project, loose furniture and lighting was ordered just three months ahead of delivery.
"We are very proud of the end result with on-time delivery and an installation of astonishing quality," said chief executive and studio founder Laura Pomponi.
Amels and Damen Yachting sales manager Jorrit Pilaar added: “We are very proud to hand Moonstone over to her owners. The collaboration with all parties involved has contributed to the success of this project. We wish her owners and crew all the very best for their adventures on board."
It comes after the first Amels 200 superyacht was delivered earlier this year.
