Second Giorgio Armani-designed Admiral superyacht Geco launched

3 February 2026 • Written by Emily Dawkins

The second 72.6-metre Admiral superyacht of two designed by the late Giorgio Armani has been launched and christened Geco.

The news was unveiled by brokerage firm IYC, which simultaneously announced that the new build will now join the charter market, managed by head of charter management Greece, Xenia Tsipidou. Delivery is scheduled for May 2026.

According to BOATPro, the yacht was sold in December 2020 to a buyer represented by IYC, with construction beginning in January 2023. Once delivered, Geco will join the first from the Armani-designed collection, No Rush, which was launched in May last year and sold in December.

The collaboration between the Italian shipyard and the legendary Italian fashion designer was unveiled in February 2023, with both 72-metre projects already in build. Both custom vessels feature a full-displacement, steel and aluminium construction, with a profile characterised by clever geometric volumes and curved surfaces.

Model highlights include an ice-class hull, long-range capabilities and the "suspended terrace" design of the upper decks, which host an open-air lounge and a helicopter landing area. On board amenities are extensive, including a fully-equipped gym, a spa with a sauna and steam room, a dedicated cinema and an expansive beach club for easy access to the water.

Expansive deck spaces are integrated with 1,950GT of indoor and outdoor living, offering generous areas for relaxing, al fresco dining and socialising. The brokerage firm noted Geco's attraction for multi-generational groups and families, not least for her "kid‑friendly layout and rich toy collection".

Interiors designed by Armani in partnership with Centro Stile of The Italian Sea Group utilise fabrics by Rubelli in custom colours, paired with wood and natural stone finishes. Accommodation is for 12 guests in a seven-cabin layout, including a 140 square-metre owner’s suite with a generous private saloon and an outdoor deck with a six-metre pool. Each cabin will feature distinct fabric and stone pairings, including soft blue tones and neutral shades with silver and gold accents. Further quarters accommodate a crew of 21.

"Embodying Admiral’s Ultra Custom philosophy, [Geco] combines timeless elegance, geometric precision, and bespoke design to create a vessel of unmatched sophistication," said a spokesperson for IYC.

Maximum speed is achieved at 16.5 knots, with cruising at 14.5 knots and a range of 6,000 nautical miles. Stabilisers underway and at anchor provide additional comfort.

According to BOATPro, the shipyard has 15 yachts on order or under construction, including the 100-metre Hull 597 (previously Project Titanium).
