The second 31.8 metre Mangusta 104 REV superyacht model has been launched in Viareggio. She will undergo sea trials in the coming weeks, with delivery slated for May.
The yacht is the entry-level of the Mangusta Maxi Open line, and the sale of this unit was announced last year during the model's debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
Constructed from composite materials, the Mangusta 104 REV features a “sporty look and slender lines” penned by Mangusta’s in-house team in collaboration with designer Igor Lobanov, who notably worked on the exteriors of 110 metre Kaos.
The second hull has been sold to an experienced American owner, who chose the model "because he is in love with Mangusta open yachts, and highly appreciates the quality, reputation, and soundness of the brand," Mangusta said.
“This is the second Mangusta 104 REV unit built for the American market," commented Overmarine Group CEO, Maurizio Balducci. "To this aim, she has been endowed with characteristics that make her ideal not only for the Mediterranean sea, but also overseas, thanks to her ability to swiftly move from one marina to the next and to her limited draught, allowing to cruise in shallow waters, too."
The yacht's versatility is proved in the main saloon, which boasts a sliding door that can convert the saloon into a single open area that blends the interior with the exterior. There are more opportunities to relax al fresco on the 29 square metre sun deck and a forward sunbathing area, and the yacht also offers a large garage that can carry a Jetski and a five metre tender.
The Mangusta 104 REV can reach top speeds of 35 knots and cruises comfortably at 30 knots thanks to MTU 2400 hp engines coupled with two Kamewa waterjets.
According to the yard, there are three already-sold vessels currently under construction. The next available model for sale will be ready for delivery in 2024.
