Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has announced the launch of the second unit from its 50Steel motor yacht series at its La Spezia facilities.
The 49.9-metre new build follows the first, and highly celebrated, yacht from the series, Almax (now Contigo), which was delivered in 2024 as the first yacht to feature Sanlorenzo's innovative green-methanol Reformer Fuel Cell concept.
Zuccon International Project is responsible for the model's strong architectural profile, with Sanlorenzo’s in-house Style Department behind the second unit's interior design. According to the shipyard, the result is a balanced and bespoke build with an unmatched sense of space, atmosphere and comfort on board.

Designed to redefine onboard space while keeping the displacement weight below 500GT, the redesigned engine room allows for a horizontal arrangement of propulsion systems and a new distribution of lower deck technical areas. The result is additional volume on the lower deck for guests, which, in the 50Steel's case, sees a new guest-focused lounge.
“The 50Steel line perfectly expresses Sanlorenzo’s approach to innovation,” said CEO of Sanlorenzo, Tommaso Vincenzi. “From the first unit, it introduces pioneering solutions that anticipate where our industry is heading. The market response confirms that owners recognise this direction, not as an experiment, but as a credible and desirable evolution of the superyacht."
According to the shipyard, the 50Steel line has five units now "fully allocated" to clients, with three other units currently in build. BOATPro amounts the shipyard to have 91 yachts currently under construction or on order.
