StellarPM unveils "reliable and rugged" 27m explorer yacht model ST88

US builder StellarPM has expanded its portfolio of raised pilothouse yachts with a 26.8-metre model known as StellarONE88 (ST88). The design is "reliable [and] rugged", with a Lloyd's Register-classed hull, 2,800-nautical-mile range and a layout optimised for owner and crew operation.

"The ST88 represents everything StellarPM stands for: reliability, engineering integrity, great style and smart luxury," explained Chris Holmes, principal and founder of StellarPM. "She’s ideal for both first-time or more experienced owners seeking full-displacement comfort."

All naval architecture on the steel and aluminium model is by Ginton Naval Architects, with build works based at StellarPM's site in Hai Phong, Vietnam.

The flybridge deck is a "class-beating" proposal with its Jacuzzi, bar and barbecue, with the option to include built-in seating, a sunpad and foredeck access forward. This arrangement maximises on exterior space, as well as providing for a full-beam master cabin. Other highlights include the beach club, which has space for twin sun loungers, and a full-beam integral tender garage.

Accommodation is across five guest cabins and quarters for up to four crew, with interior design from Turkish studio Unzile Acar Interiors. Matte walnut, marble and light linens are incorporated throughout for bright but laid-back living spaces.

Other key specs include a 6.2-metre beam and a draft of 1.9 metres

The model would be powered by twin Caterpillar IMO Tier III-compliant engines for a maximum speed of 14 knots.

The yard also offers an all-aluminium version, with high-performance engines leading to a 22-knot maximum speed and a range of 2,200 nautical miles. This variation would also come with a metre-long hull extension.

The news follows the announcement that StellarPM had sold the second unit in its ST108 series, which is scheduled for delivery to Florida this year.
