Sunseeker reveals new 40m yacht model at Cannes Yachting Festival

9 September 2025 • Written by Dea Jusufi

British yard Sunseeker has taken the opportunity of the Cannes Yachting Festival to unveil a new model known as the Sunseeker 40M.

Veteran designer and first-time Sunseeker collaborator Francesco Paszkowski is behind the design, characterised by a subtly curved superstructure, tapered glazing and a dual-tone exterior. The Italian studio's portfolio includes the 72-metre Casino Royale by Tankoa Yachts, Sanlorenzo's Naia – which won a Neptune at the 2009 World Superyacht Awards – and a long-standing collaboration with Italian yard Baglietto

Full details will be unveiled in due course, though the yard has divulged certain standout features, including an elongated aft deck (complete with several lounges) and forward plunge pool that converts into a seating area when drained.

"We are delighted to be partnering with Francesco Paszkowski, a designer whose reputation and portfolio are internationally recognised," said Andrea Frabetti, Sunseeker CEO. "This collaboration embodies our commitment to pushing the boundaries of superyacht design, delivering our clients exceptional craftsmanship, style and innovation."

"It is an honour to collaborate with Sunseeker, an iconic British brand with such a strong identity and history," added Paszkowski. "Together, we aim to create designs that resonate with discerning yacht owners worldwide, combining elegance, performance and comfort."

According to BOATPro, Sunseeker has 15 projects on order or under construction. This includes the yard's new flagship, a 41.1-metre model scheduled for delivery in 2027.
