Canadian yard Tactical Custom Boats has announced that it has sold a 23.47 metre new-build project, which will be called the Tactical 77 Fast Pilothouse Motoryacht.
Designed and engineering in Wisconsin by Bill Prince Yacht Design, this all-aluminium yacht will be built at Tactical’s shipyard in British Columbia.
"Our client has a specific set of requirements for this remarkable boat which are simply not available from any other vessel of this size today,” explains Bill Prince. "We’ve designed go-anywhere capability and luxurious accommodations inside aggressive, pseudo-military exterior styling.”
Key features will include gyroscopic stabilisers and an open cockpit for a relaxing cruising experience. Moving inside and the open-plan saloon features contemporary styling, a relaxed lounge area, a pop-up TV, and an adjacent bar and galley. Meanwhile a folding transom will allow a wide variety of superyacht water toys to be launched without the need for a davit crane.
As the name suggests, the 77 Fast Pilothouse Motoryacht will be able to thrill guests when appropriate, as is indicated by the specification of suspension seating. Tactical has yet to disclose the engine installation or top speed, but the 77 is due to undertake sea trials next year.
Tim Charles, principal of Tactical Custom Boats, added: “How can we not be excited about this boat? These are the kind of build projects boat builders dream about. This project will allow us to show the full capabilities of the Tactical team”.
