Tankoa expands superyacht range with S533 Saetta

Italian yard Tankoa Yachts has released the first details of a new 53 metre planing superyacht called S533 Saetta.

Designed by regular yard collaborator Francesco Paszkowski, this speedy model offers 28 knots flat-out and comfortable cruising at 24 knots, thanks to a triple MTU engine set-up, paired to Kamewa waterjets and a booster.

Saetta has a maximum range of 1,200 nautical miles at 17 knots

Such sporty performance is matched by the S533 Saetta’s aggressive and streamlined exterior, which incorporates large expanses of glass to ensure a bright interior.

“The Tankoa S533 combines speed with solidity, cleanliness of lines and forms with dynamic lightness,” said Francesco Paszkowski. “The extensive use of glass was adopted to bring in the sea, and the exterior styling amplifies this sensation of an endless horizon.”

No interior details have been disclosed as yet, with the total guest accommodation and crew capacity unclear, but the 9.2 metre draught should allow for plenty of room on board.

Al fresco relaxation options are plentiful, with a vast aft deck incorporating a C-shaped seating area and a large sunbathing area. This theme continues on the upper deck with two large sunpads aft and an al fresco dining area suitable for ten people just behind the superyacht wheelhouse.

Extended cruising is offered at 17 knots with the total fuel capacity of 40,000 litres allowing for a range of 1,200 nautical miles.

Other superyacht projects currently under development at the Italian yard include the 49.9 metre Project Elettra, which is due to hit the water in 2019.
