Italian shipyard Tankoa Yachts has announced the sale of the fifth hull from its all-aluminium 50 metre superyacht series.
The new owner, which the yard has revealed is a “young, European client,” was introduced to the shipbuilder by Jean-Claude Carme of TWW Yachts.
The exterior of the motor yacht, which is already under construction, has been designed by Francesco Paszkowski while the interiors will be styled by Giorgio Cassetta. TWW broker Jean-Claude Carme will oversee the build process on behalf of the new owner.
Features of the new superyacht revealed by the shipyard include two guest suites situated on the main deck, a swimming pool at the bow and conventional diesel engines. The exterior paint scheme will reportedly feature jet black and whisper grey colours.
CEO of Tankoa Yachts, Vincenzo Poerio, said: “We are very happy with this further contract that consolidates our order book. This is yet another confirmation of the success of our S501 project.”
“For Tankoa it is the third yacht sold in the same year, something that has never happened in the history of the company. With the market so active, I'm sure it won't be the last order of 2021," added Poerio.
The latest hull to be delivered in Tankoa’s S501 series was the third, Olokun, while the fourth unit is currently under construction with delivery scheduled for February 2022. With construction of the fifth unit now 40% complete, delivery is scheduled for summer 2022.
