Tecnomar Reveals Details of 36m Domus Concept

27 October 2020

Tecnomar has revealed more details on its latest 36 metre Domus motor yacht concept.

Developed in-house by the Italian Sea Group, the concept has been designed as an all-aluminium sports yacht geared towards the charter market. Referred to by the yard as a "villa by the sea", Domus offers owners easy access to the water with numerous spots for entertaining and lounging on board.

One key feature, also seen on the recently launched Admiral motor yacht Geco, is a large open aft deck shielded from the elements by high bulwarks with integrated glass windows. During the day, the area serves as a 36 square metre beach club and transforms into an ambient setting for al fresco dining come evening. A more secluded sun lounge can be found on the foredeck.

A third exterior lounge is found up on the sundeck where guests are offered 60 square metres of space to roam with 360-degree oceans views. Well equipped for entertaining family and friends on board, there's a bar and DJ booth with a solarium forward.

Inside, Domus can sleep up to 10 guests in five cabins with further accommodation for a crew of five. The concept features stylish interiors illuminated by natural light through floor-to-ceiling windows, blurring the boundaries between inside and out. A neutral colour palette features throughout with light woods, chocolate leathers and white marble.

A main saloon sits at the heart of the yacht with a lounge area to port, formal dining to starboard and an open country-style galley forward, separated from the guest area by a floating staircase.

Power will come from four Volvo 1350 kw engines delivering a top speed of 21 knots with two 50kw generators and zero speed stabilizing fins.
